It is not always that a coup comes with bloodshed, though it is mostly so. Definitely no well meaning person wants a repeat of Guinée in Niger, and do hope that the military keeps it head.

To the ousted president, Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Tandja Mamadou, despite your holding on to power, may no harm reach you.

To all my dear friends and colleagues in Niamey; Asmaou, Morou, Moctar, Moussa, Abdelkader, Sid and citizens of Niger, I pray that everything will be back to normal, if not better, soon.
